Cinematographer Sakthi Saravanan and music director Yuvan Shankar Raja have also been roped in.Inspired from the true incident that happened this March in Goa, in which a man was charged with the rape of British teenager, the film revolves around the rape case of a girl in which the lead stars of the film get caught innocently for the crime they did not commit and how they acquit themselves by spotting the real culprits forms the gripping storyline of 'Goa' which would be narrated in a style that is unique to Venkat and his crew. 'ENDHIRAN' TROOP IN GOA

Super star Rajinikanth's 'Endhiran' was shot recently in Goa. The cast and crew shot some important sequences in Goa featuring Rajinikanth, Cochin Haneefa and others.News is that important sequences featuring Rajinikanth as robot were shot at Goa. Shankar, in order to maintain secrecy, shot the movie in the middle of tight security. Shankar was keen to prevent photographs of the shooting getting leaked to the media since the first shedule of the fim was recently released in the internet by one of his assistants..Sources revealed that Rajinikanth appeared for the shoot as robot, a look-alike of Rajinikanth. Seemingly inspired by Arnold Schwazeneger in 'Terminator', Shankar has reportedly created the role.Plans are on to commence the next schedule of the 'Endhiran' in abroad after Diwali.

YET ANOTHER REMAKE - 'MAMMATIYAN' FOR PRASHANTH

Veteran Actor Thiagarajan remakes his yesteryear super hit 'Malayur Mammatiyan' for his son Prashanth in which he plays the lead role, which was played by Thiagarajan in the original.Meera Jasmine who has been reported as inconsistent regarding her call sheets was opted out of the movie 'Anandhapurathu Vedu' of S Pictures, directed by Naga as its allegedly being said that she messed up with her dates. But the actress keeps being flooded with so much of offers for her higher level of acting proficiency and talents. Meera Jasmine, who has been set to cast in the movies 'Mariyadhai' with Vijayakanth and 'Adi Narayana', is being considered by Thiagarajan to enact Saritha's role in the original. Vadivelu would replace comedian Senthil in this remake. The new version has been titled as 'Mammatiyan' and Thiagarajan would produce and direct this flick. The film has been planned to be shot in the dense forests of remote villages in Tamilnadu. This film is likely to go to the floors soon.

The release of ‘Varanam Aayiram’ would not be for this Deepavali as expected very eagerly but the movie would hit the screens on the first week of November. In this film, Suriya plays dual roles and his characters will be known as Krishna and Suriya. Simran, Sameera Reddy, Divya Spandana play the heroines. The film announced with a budget of 14 crores has drawn inspirations from the Hollywood movie ‘Forrest Gump’ starring Tom Hanks and has been made in a way to suit the Indian audience. Gautham Vasudev Menon regarding the title once stated that they did not deliberately attempt to name the movie with a Tamil title. The title, which is a phrase from Andal's ‘Thiruppavai', was found to be synonymous with the storyline of the movie and thereby it was picked. ‘Varanam Aayiram’ literally means the strength of thousand elephants. The film has seven songs composed by Harris Jeyaraj. The songs from the albums were released to four leading FM stations in Chennai, with one song per station, in attempt to popularize it five days before the official launch. With the Suriya-Gautham duo coming back after the blockbuster Kaakha Kaakha(2003), and with Harris Jeyaraj’s music, Suriya appearing in different get ups with three glamorous ladies, 'Varanam Aayiram' is much worth waiting till this November and it would sure become the hottest film in Kollywood trade circuit.

Bollywood’s glomarous actress Katrina Kaif, whose market rate is Rs 3.5 crore after a series of hits with Akshay Kumar, is now being eyed by big production houses to bring that magical zing to their films. The actress has reportedly signed a two-film deal for an amount that exceeds her present fee. One is by Abbas-Mastan and the other is most likely going to be a Hollywood film, says a source. “We are proud to have Katrina, she’s one of the most talented and successful actresses of the industry,” said Ram Mirchandani whose production house is looking at an “exciting and wonderful future” with Ms Kaif. Katrina, too, is hoping to work wonders with them. “I’m sure we will make some great films together,” said the actress, not wanting to divulge details about the films that are scheduled to be released in the next two years.
